Swing at the end of the world

Swing at the end of the world

This isn’t just another regular tourist attraction. It is intended rather for people looking for sensations and risks. How else can you call swinging at the end of a cliff?
Climbing the path from Baños to Bellavista in the northern part of Ecuador, you will reach a lookout point and a seismological station called La Casa del Árbol (Treehouse). As the name suggests, it is a small house built on a tree at the edge of a canyon. The view of Tungurahua volcano is undoubtedly worth a trip, but for those who want to experience something extra, it offers something unique – a swing over the precipice, although it is sometimes called a swing at the end of the world. It doesn’t have any safety measures or guarantee that it won’t fall into the abyss during the swing. In fact, a lot of tourists – or rather risk-takers – go here not to admire the view, but just to feel a little shiver.
Internet is full of photographs showing people swinging over the precipice, they cause shivers from just looking, we present some of them.
