Door structure
The door consists of a wing, which is a movable element, and a frame, which is a fixed element. They have many functions: they allow access to rooms, protect against light, noise, loss of heat, burglary, serve as fire protection, evacuation, enrich the facade of the building. We distinguish the following types of doors: classic, hinged, rotating, swinging, sliding, folding, folding, rolling, tilting, sliding, stepping and sliding. Depending on which side the hinges are on, the door is referred to as left or right, which also means which side the hinges are opened from.
Door parameters
Doors should fit in terms of style to the object and its rooms, but should also perform their basic functions without any problems, so it is worth paying attention to their parameters. The first basic parameter is dimension. Here are the dimensions of standard doors: 90 centimetres wide and 201 centimetres high without a mounting element, and with it – 15 centimetres more. The second basic parameter is the heat transfer coefficient U, which determines the extent to which the door transmits heat. The average U-value is 1-2/W/(m2*K). The heat transfer coefficient U is higher in the internal door than in the external door. The third parameter is the sound insulation, because all of them transmit sound to some degree. The average sound insulation value is 30 decibels.
