Overnight stay in a hanging bed over the abyss

Such a night will be remembered forever. From just looking at the pictures, you can get goose bumps. A real adventure only for brave people.
The whole history of sleeping on rocks began in the 1950s. Climbing enthusiasts were initially looking for comfortable “shelves” that could replace a bed. With the increase in the number of climbers, the number of these “shelves” rapidly decreased. Now the bed is being replaced by a hanging tent system called portaledge. It was designed especially for climbers who spend many days and nights on high walls. It was used for the first time in Yosemite National Park, including climbing to the top of El Capitan.
