How to Properly Feed School Age Children

A dozen or so months ago, a war broke out over school shops. As usual, too radical measures were taken, but at least attention was drawn to the eating errors of schoolchildren.
Fundamental irregularities
Most children aged several and over get candy bars and sweet drinks at school, sometimes double sandwiches, which they don’t eat most often. It often happens that they go to school without breakfast. After returning home, they return home and wait for their parents to come back and have a late lunch. This has nothing to do with proper nutrition.
So how to eat healthy children?
We must remember that during the school period the child’s body is still in the growth and development phase, so its demand for vitamins, minerals and other nutrients is greater than that of an adult. It is the adults who have to make sure that the meals their children eat are wholesome in this respect.
It is not easy to teach a child healthy eating habits, especially when he or she goes to school later. However, there is advice for everything, but it requires good organisation. Remember that children are more likely to eat colourful and varied meals. Especially sandwiches for breakfast should be encouraging. Just cut the slices into small pieces (“once in a while”), put on them pieces of cold cuts, cheese, eggs and crown them with a slice of tomato, pepper, cucumber or radishes. Arrange everything on a plate and cover it with stretch foil.
For your second breakfast at school you can give your teenagers a few oat biscuits with different additions or dried fruits, which are a perfect substitute for sweets. Depending on the time spent at school, you can also prepare a sandwich (with colorful additions of course) or order lunches.
When preparing your second breakfast for school, you should remember that there are books and notebooks in your schoolbag that you need to protect from getting dirty. Packing fruits or sandwiches in a breakfast bag is not a good idea. A crushed sandwich does not encourage to eat and usually ends up in a basket. It is necessary to use rigid, lockable containers that will effectively protect books and sandwiches. This type of disposable dishes can be found on the disposable food packaging.
